Hi,I’m Stephen and for many years I was a frustrated would-be pianist.
I have a lovely Yamaha Clavinova Electric Piano that I paid quite a lot of money for at the time that just sat there and only got played very badly, very occasionally. The reason being I thought I didn’t need to take piano classes and could teach myself to play from following along with Youtube videos and picking tips up from “free” websites.
It was only after a long time that when I was talking to a friend who played about my frustrations and he made a very wise comment that I decided to find some proper piano lessons and really learn to play to a level that I was happy with.
I never wanted to be a concert pianist but I really wanted to be able to play some simple Blues and then see where it went from there.
That was when more frustration came along, I tried lots of paid courses some really cheap, some quite expensive and it took ages till I found some that I was comfortable with so I decided that I would try to help other people save some of the frustration I went through and set up this site to help beginners get started learning piano at home.
Take a look and see if it helps you, I would love to hear how you get on.
Good Luck
Stephen
P.S.
What my friend said that made me choose to get some paid lessons.
He said,
“How much did you pay for that piano, and how many hours have you wasted trying to save a few dollars learning how to play it?
How little value is your time that you can waste so many hours to save so little money.
Stop being a Cheapskate and get a proper course of teaching”
